Another decent evening spent in the garden cutting trees and general tidying.

Can't beat this weather and lighter evenings; just a shame the weather part of it looks like it won't last.

Think we may have nudged 20 degrees today which would make today the warmest of the year so far. Not quite unbroken sunshine from dawn until dusk, but not far off with only a bit of patchy cloud at times.

Tomorrow will be another warm day for April, perhaps not quite as warm as today, and I am expecting a little bit more cloud, but still another great day.

Major change come Friday, digging out the winter coat again come Sunday and next week.. Snow returning to the fells no doubt.

Hard to believe that with todays clear skies and high of 19'c in Buxton that in 3 days from now there's good potential of hail, thunder, sleet, and snow on the tops with daytime max's barely getting about 4'c. Luckily we still have Friday left to bask in the warmth before the shock-to-the-system begins.

Funny that the weather forecasters haven't mentioned once of April Showers. It just shows this month is settled.

Just about clinging onto to the last dregs of the fine spell we've had lately.  Cloud is increasing though, will probably thicken by late afternoon with spots of rain heralding the start of a cooling trend.

Cloudy now. The weekend's miserable northerly rubbish is on its way, unfortunately.

This is ridiculous - I stopped posting as Winter was "over".

I'm certainly not... snow is a miserable pain in the backside at this time of the year. Hurry back lovely southerlies and that lovely tropical air!

Not quite as wet as initially thought, but a definite chill in the air compared to much of this month. The clearance of the cold front was very marked, with a notable line and light blue sky behind it, the clearance moved through about an hour ago.

Temperatures on a swift downward decline, currently 9 degrees. This time Thursday temps were still around 17 degrees. Expecting a probable air frost tomorrow, indeed a long run of notably cold nights for the time of year lie ahead. After 2 weeks of vigorous spring growth, ground temps will cool again and rate of growth will be slower.

A beautiful, if cold start to the day and certainly a better one than yesterday began.

Hopefully a dry day to come and a chance to carry on with outside jobs without getting soaked through.

Blazing sunshine - might be a bit cooler, but I'll settle for this any day of the week.  The South East have drawn the short straw today, watching the London Marathon. (grey, wet, and chilly).  Good luck to the runners, especially those raising money for charities.
