Looking forward to tomorrow's sculptural clouds - I'm flying to AMS from LBA and then onto Nuremberg...camera definitely at the ready!

Looks like a squall's just about to hit here. Uh oh...

13.25 - It's been and gone now. A bit anti-climatic really. Looked very dark and menacing as it rapidly approached from the west, gave us a few minutes of very heavy rain but nothing else.

Total non-event here, not even any heavy rain. There was barely a breeze to speak of.

Let's hope for a rogue heavy shower/thunderstorm tomorrow...I can't recall the last time there was so little convective weather over such a long period.

The first sferics appearing on the radar now - North Wales and Manchester. Hopefully the start of an exciting 48 hours with pulse storms aplenty.

The 'tornado' in Wales today has not been confirmed, eyewitnesses have said that a fierce wind lasting over 5 minutes...seems like it may have been straight line winds along the squall line..

Thunder, lightning and hail forecast for London tomorrow. So it should be a dry, sunny day instead then.

Just had a heavy hail shower here that produced a rainbow. If it's hailing, then doesn't that technically make it a "hailbow" instead?
