Spectacular skies around Milton Keynes today! Took these a little earlier. No thunder and lightning..yet!

watch out soon for the north west/west Midlands storms just developing now from outa north Wales. from Anglesey to Wolverhampton in the next hour or so

I'm based at Cannon Street. I have a pretty much unrestricted view of the northern and eastern skylines from my desk, I can see the southern skyline if I walk round to the meeting rooms :D

Wish I had a decent view from my office!  I can, however, see the is turning an ominous dark grey, so fingers crossed.....

This storm in London has kicked out a couple of bright flashes :D

Thanks! It's been a while since I last saw convection like that. Just after I posted those I had my first little thunderstorm of the year! Lots of hail and 5 deep grumbles.  :yahoo:

 

That looks monstrous, Harry. I'd love to be there to take pictures of it but definitely not outdoors!

Seen some of the beefy showers passing my office window to the North of Shrewsbury, but a notable lack of electrical activity in the west from our rain showers. Much like the Net weather forecast. Been dry all day here, as its all been north of us.

Just had a little storm here with three little claps of thunder! :shok:  This brings the total claps of thunder so far this year to three. :rolleyes:

It seems I am a bit too far down the Thames to have enjoyed that storm - only had a few spits of rain so far :rolleyes:

 

Oh, tell a lie - heard a rather long rumble of thunder in the distance - yay! :yahoo:   Come closer!!

Hail and Thunder here, looking at the radar it seems to be joining up the little cells between us here in Essex and the one across into South London thru Croydon.
