Aside from the excitement of this evening, is it just me or is the weekend looking pretty Okay now, especially the further south you are, in fact the GFS has temperatures pushing 20C on both days with any rainfall being showery in nature.

New cells popping up east of the main one south of Kent now. Things look good in Kent in the next hour, and those new cells, if they continue to build, will make things exciting for Essex and eventually Suffolk and Norfolk later :)

Is LightningMaps malfunctioning because according to them the strikes have gone completely over the Channel.

Suns back out here so hopefully one last heat up to get things going. Been watching the lightning cross the channel, not many strikes but hopefully it will pepp up a bit when it hits land and then travel up the M20 to me....lol

Yes it seems to be struggling today, maybe due to the amount of users logged in. Try this instead, not as accurate but better than nothing!

Looks like Kent is getting all the storms just like last Friday.

Don't think we did very well last Friday. Only heard 2 rumbles of thunder all day.

Its looking promising for this evening though :-)

I'm predicting the storms track as below, intensifying as it moves in a Northerly direction.

Wrong, way more north west

Just look at the ppn already on the radar

I beg to differ, that might be the case for the SW but have a look at the general direction between Kent and Lincolnshire.

I am hoping for it to go North West. Although the chance of anything getting up here is poor.

The sky has been sludgy all afternoon.
