Dark clouds spreading from the south and west here. Light rain also. Feels very humid outside too

Hi Leigh! No rain here yet. the sun is peeping through an increasingly stormy looking sky.

About to walk to the station to meet the hubby and debating whether or not to take a brolly. looking ever more menacing out there.

Ok, decision made - its just started to rain lightly...

I think this is going to be the problem for Essex and Kent... no CAPE currently:

Certainty some welcome rainfall for these parts :D

Rain Alarm Pro says we have heavy precipitation here, but nothing. It got a bit orange earlier but it's just sultry and muggy and dry!

Heavy rain atm, few rumbles of thunder and two flashes.....come on, you can do better than this !

Latest rainfall radar still holding some interest. A few cells out in the Channel/North Sea. Will EA have a few rumbles and flashes later? Overall though, it looks like a disappointing day, compared with model forecasts over the last 48 hours. I think the NMM sniffed the climb-down this morning.

The lightning radar suggests the storms are already deteriorating if you look at the times of the flashes. post-20040-0-15503400-1434134249_thumb.j

Gutted :(

Rather it hadn't rained at at all as we have the Airshow tomorrow. Looks like a 'soggy bum' picnic watching the planes!

Blimey, scrat! I went there in 1973. That was an utter washout...The Red Arrows were canceled, and I couldn't see the French lot! :D

And, on the way back, I asked a Scotsman 'Who won the match'. I'll not repeat his reply, other than Scotland didn't! :D

Some fairly impressive cells heading this way on radar - I'd take rain minus sferics, actually.

Just heard a nice deep ruble here in Suffolk. Guessing it's the one over Ipswich at the moment.
