Sitting in garden in Stevenage.. Sky is totally grey now. Still very humid but occasional slight cooling breeze which is lovely. Just starting to spit with rain now as I type.

Cells south of London forming well now. This could work quite well for London in the next hour.

How do you know where the cells are forming?

By using the rainfall radar. I use the premium NetWeather one as it is the most detailed and updates every 5 minutes. Small but heavy areas of precipitation are what you need to look for.

Probably looked at the radar?

Cells moved up from NW France and initially looked good for whole of Essex/Kent/London but have mainly wimped out, with only the western portion holding together well, heading NW into the London area.

I've been trying to up by step count by going for a walk every day on my week off. Tired and a bit hungover this morning I did consider not bothering with one this morning thinking it would start pouring with rain at some point.  But off i did eventiually go doing a little circuit involving Fairlands Park,  These thunderstaorms are taking a long time to get to us and still some way to go and some luck needed!  :)

still rumbling away here with the odd strike and chucking it down. Brightening up to my south, hopefully the sun will come out again and we'll do it all again in a while.
