25c here with a fresh S wind and hazy sun.

We've reached 26C, sunny with some clouds bubbling up. It does actually feel much warmer than yesterday - & more humid.

25'C here now with a very warm wind - three days in a row of at least 25'C, great preparation for China next week where it's in the mid 30s, cloudless and light winds currently in Beijing. Cannot wait!

Done really poor for any lightning yesterday or overnight here, only thing we got was a few spits of rain and muggyness that is still hanging about.

Now under cloud cover at 25C. You can never tell for sure, but I don't get the impression they look particularly thundery just now, but no idea what's going on aloft.

No sferics yet but a thundery looking cell has just popped up south east of Kilmarnock.

Don't look very much like thunder clouds to me, too uniform/flat looking. Nothing much on radar that looks like it's giving strong enough rainfall to be potentially thundery either, except well out into the North Sea off Norfolk. That lot is moving North though so if it swings back inland at us later today there's a possibility...

On the train so can't take a picture. . but some really good convection going on now which is punching up through the layer of stratus which has plagued us all day. Im a bit more optimistic for some rumbles of thunder tonight now after seeing this plus the meto forecast

Thunderstorm broke out last night at about 00:05. Thunder really loud and forked lightning. Unfortunately it didnt last long before rolling away north. Cooler here today at about 16c. Lots of the usual boring low grey cloud and its started raining now. Not expecting any of the good stuff as it hasnt been forecast for this area

Currently 18C in Dyce, sunny with just the occasional fluffy cloud and a gentle breeze.

 

Yesterday maxed out at 26.3C in Dyce, but to be honest I'd take this mornings weather in preference to yesterdays humid sweatfest. Forecast isn't looking that great though, back down to the mid teens again next week, with showers.

Not weather related.. But this was a nice shot i saw today.

Maybe not the hottest but def the most pleasant day this week here. Sunny with a max of 21.5C and a pleasant SW breeze.

Looks like we will miss the storms this time. Shame but perhaps just as well as we have an early start, heading up North first thing tomorrow before the A9 gets busy.

Ps should know but which mountain is that above?
