Thunder heard here, and it's not even raining

Not a big storm, it's been overcast all day here, no sun

It has really built the past half hour or so mate.  Is there much rain from it?

I am in County Durham - the air has gone really sticky but a breeze has picked up - I am hoping this is building in to something as the sky looks like its brewing something from the south so encouraging from Darlo those reports

Nodded off in the garden and was awoken by 2 distant rumbles of Thunder. Sounded like it was out to sea. Nothing showing on radar though.

Am i right in thinking that with the sun out here and the scorching temperatures here and southwards, that there is more chance for storms later on today.

The CAPE is in place but is the trigger there?

Sunny and 34C here in Warwickshire - feels even higher than that though (37C). I'm quite surprised it hasn't been overcast today - although I can't stay outside for longer than a few minutes in the sun. Hopefully storms will end today.

It actually looks better than today for most, although Euro4 did not pick up on the storms moving through Yorkshire currently so not sure how accurate that is.

Now the Sun's been out for an hour, it's now 33c. Incredibly warm, not been this warm here in years.

Saw two strikes out of that storm that passed over harrogate, glad I've at

least seen something at such an early stage :)

For us in leeds keep an eye further south, if something can develop there then we really will be in a prime location heading into this evening.

My worst fear last night was that big storms develop over us, but only become fully mature once north of us. This has happened with the darlo storm but still very early days!
