It has been a stinker today, I was glad to get home soaked all day.  My other half works out doors and

he has 2 very wet coats! Hopefully next week will be drier as the crops have to come in

soon, This summer has been a bit of a non starter

Yesterday's forecast of a washout went to plan so hopefully today's will do the same and give us a dry, sunny day.

Plenty of jobs to do inside though in case they get it wrong.

yes much better day off to lowther show soon :).

They got it wrong, mainly cloudy here since about 10.30 and a couple of showers thrown in for good measure but trying to brighten again now so hopefully things will improve later.

Enjoy, still waiting for mine and I'm 54 next.

Did go to San Francisco though so can't complain.

Weather turned out decent after a couple of showers this morning but looking to be damn cold tonight.

Lovely sunny start although at 6c, a bit on the cool side.

Looking at the forecast, a quiet dry spell of weather coming up with warm days but cold nights so it's going to feel a bit autumnal although still very pleasant.

So much for the blue skies forecast by the beeb yesterday evening, we've only managed 2 hours of sunshine here in the peaks since this morning. The rest of the day has just been cloud and clag, with the nights drawing in it'll be dark by half 8.

This weather is quite annoying, it's settled and it would be sunny but presumably due to some layer of instability the cloud builds and lifts into a layer of crap. Oh well best enjoy the few hours of sun first thing in the morning :p

Good day again 19 c silly wind though ..

Same here although cloud has moved in and the sun is a lot more hazy now.

I just hope that we are too far inland when tomorrow's rain from the east arrives in the same way as we would if it was January with heavy snow on the way.

Today would have been frustrating if it was middle of winter with chance of snow, the rain has evaporated into only a few drops on this side of the Pennines, over the tops through to Huddersfield it's been quite wet.
