Crackly thunder

Lightning seen from Chester/N.Wales direction.  Very dark looking NE towards Warrington.

Raining here now soon it will be a downpour

Rain started to fall first time today - skies are black and the recent lightning map shows scattergun thunderclaps breaking out across many parts of the region now....not heard one myself yet though.

Peeing down here and gone very dark but no thunder or lightening so far.

Quite an intense thundery downpour around here, the way how it developed caught me out unfortunately with me out on me bike but quite satisfied none the less.

Another cell is merging from the south. Even the Staffordshire cell will catch Manchester by the looks of things.

This has turned out better than I expected

Starting to hear a bit of distant thunder but no lightening yet.

Moderate rain has eased to almost dry now but the sky looks black to the south.

So maybe all is not lost yet.

Cloudy the sunny then the threatening clouds move in

Oh...wow! Best storm here since August 2010. Fairly quiet IC thunder although a distant positive CG at the end. 2 cells, unbelievable rain. Storm total was 22.8 mm!!
