Had a pairing of two brilliant thunderstorms in Manchester then!

Thunder still rumbling on here but the lightening seems to have stopped.

I doubt it, I think that's it for tonight at least for the south of our region. We are unfortunately getting the remains of the Shropshire storm rather than when it was in its prime.

Still pretty good though, especially on this side of Manchester. Got a few decent lightning strikes on video then.

To be truthful, I'm disappointed, a few lightning flashes, some thunder and that was it. It's all relative I guess. This year is better than last year, so I can't complain in regards to that but I suspected that once again your area did better than mine did.

Put it into context , still better than drizzle ...

Even torrential drizzle.

Heavy rain still - the main intensity has fizzled out somewhat from its potential - most of the energy was spent over the SW and Wiltshire.

Thought it was going to be a lot better, barely any T&L at all and the rain isnt that heavy but its still a lot better than nowt.

21c at 830am...... Lovely

Nice here but the warmth is tempered by a strong breeze.

Still after some of the dross we'de had to endure while other regions have basked in heatwave conditions it's nice to see the tables turned, if only briefly.

Just hope the rain keeps away until the day can be fully enjoyed.

Think itll be mostly dry until 5-6pm..... But yes breezy but can feel the warmth and to wake up to blue skies makes a decent change.... Lost count of the times its been foggy/cloudy/rainy days then about 7pm the sun comes out and had lovely sunsets....

Just seen the BBC forecast and it showed storms heading into our region during the evening so maybe something of a repeat of Saturday coming up.

Also showing 26c for this region so maybe the hottest day since early July is on the cards and highly likely the hottest until next summer.

Gonna be a hot one today here. Was almost 20C when I left for work at 7:50am. 25C minimum, 27C+ if the sun stays out

Very unusual to get a strong easterly wind in August!

It should get stronger as the weather front approaches this pm.
