Always fascinate me how clouds can move in different directions at different levels

noticed it through the evening here, higher cloud moving east to west, lower cloud moving west to east

It's been a pretty decent day today, with a 21C temperature and fair amount of hazy sunshine. The temperature was also much better than it was originally forecasted to be.

Yeah not a bad days weather really, dry, a fair bit of sun, pleasantly warm and less breezy than yesterday.

Could have been much worse.

We could miss most of tomorrow's rain too, but by Wednesday it seems our luck will run out.

Just seen tomorrow's forecast and it looks like we could stay dry until this time at least.

Like you said, Wednesday looks wet but then hopefully signs of an improvement towards weekend.

I just hope that the bank holiday weekend stays decent, after that into September I'm not that bothered really.

After a surprisingly chilly night (9.6C) the day dawned sunny and remained so all morning.  However by midday what I thought to be the day's usual Sc/Cu infill had formed and that means that was it for the day.  Thankfully not - afternoon turned out sunny and quite warm at around 20C or so. Looks like cloud is melting away so I suspect tonight will be another chilly one.

Decent start to the day with a damp ending.

Nothing much more to say other than the reverse looks to be happening tomorrow.

Iffy start but a gradually improving picture as the day went on with a nice sunny and warm feeling afternoon.

Just missed a shower as a arrived home from work with an impressive rainbow to my east but nothing fell here so with no rain since early this morning, the drought is certainly on.

Quite wet last night with cloud clearing around breakfast time.  The day's Sc infill arrived on time by lunchtime but sunny intervals developed during the afternoon.   Afternoon temp was around 20C but didn't feel too warm due windchill from the stiff breeze.  Light shower around 5pm.  Now dusk with large amounts of large Cu looking west, with what looks like a rain shadow in the direction of Chester.

Yes today was a pretty decent one with some lengthy sunny spells. However, the strong wind again was the main feature. This has to have been one of the windiest summers in quite a long time.
