I don't mind the odd sunny day, but I'm a follower of extreme or 'active' weather. Not days of endless blues skies..there's nothing enjoyable or 'addicting' about following those. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind it being sunny for a day or 2 here and there. Perfect conditions are a few hours of sun interspersed with squally, thundery showers - that's if it's not snowing. I sincerely hope this summer is way below CET and offers showers/storms most days. Evenings can be fine, especially weekend ones - that way a beer in the garden works out nicely!

Not really going to get many or any evenings out enjoying beer with a way below average cet. Could barely do it last summer. Depressing stuff it was! :(

Finally stopped raining here, after a long period of nuiscance-value rain, much of which came after the radar had shown it clearing. Still fairly mild, despite the wind, but it'd be nice to have a frosty night tonight.

On the earlier debate, rain rain rain has become the most boring type of weather for me over the last few months. A spring/summer filled with blue skies and sun would be such a novelty that I'd find it a lot more interesting! Give me a warm, dry, sunny summer, please! All personal preferences, of course, and I won't knock anyone for liking more active weather. :)

wondering if 18Z will trend towards ECM! still trying to be realistic not negative, I expect ECM 00Z to downgrade in morning to nearer what the GFS is showing, 2-3 day cold spell tue-thu, then milder from the west on friday

Regarding March 2013 or the start of that month there was cold in the forecast, but not in a million years i thought that March 2013 would turn out the way it did

You never know or can tell for that matter.....so Keep the faith snow lovers the hunt is still on  :cold:

Still not interested guys....

It has to be 2 FEET.

The nearest I have got was I think about 1993 (when the NEC opened) and we got 22 inches unforcasted until it was just starting  (23:00) .

It was when the M6 was blocked/closed between here and Coventry for 36 hours.

In 16 hours we had 22 inches of horribly wet and heavy snow. Blue and purple flashes were everywhere for the whole night.

We have to beat it!!

:yahoo::yahoo::nea:

Edit....

Guess whose been on the pop tonight.
