Models are looking great for a few extremes over the next few days interspersed with pretty cold air at times to make it better!

ARPEGE the worst, ECM the best, GFS quite good.

Got to say, looking at Monday - it doesn't look very nice...and neither for that matter does tomorrow

Geez thought Friday looked bad but Monday - yikes!

Snow prospects Saturday and possibility of more change into next week! Going to be a busy week of weather watching.

Misty, hope your roof is secure and fully fixed for Friday.

Its sunny today but feels really chilly in a strengthening wind! But at least it's not raining!!!

River here over the banks yesterday, more heavy rain Friday doesn't bode well.

I think the warnings for tomorrow between 6-9 may get upgraded again - it wouldn't surprise me if they bring in a red warning given it's peak driving times for many.

I suspect it's an orange because of the likely impact on rush hour, it looks bad across the central belt but not that bad. Nothing compared to the far north and islands.

Optimistically looking at snow down to low levels (please) overnight Friday into Saturday for most of the country.  Payback for the horizontal faeces we'll get daytime tomorrow.  Might have to ask the council to fix the streetlights here.

Northern Strath and Snowy Owl, builders are here just now but we know the roof won't be finished today and definitely not tomorrow! Let's just hope that the work that they've done holds out and that what's left doesn't suffer too much from Gertrude's bashing! I'd better get some batteries charged just in case!

I see they have lowered the altitude in the warning from mostly over 200m to 100m.

Real shame they've extended the warning area! Like the executioners axe falling on my snow chances!

HC - nothing's changed in the several years we've been here.

Nothing - that lot could have a fight in an empty room I'm not happy, in fact I'm quite sad.

The idea of folk starting a fight in an empty room has always tickled me - I think there must be a Monty Python sketch about it that's got lost in the synapses somewhere.

I have to say today was utter super dupere in there though, but I guess it was the scarcity of common sense that surprised me - maybe that's just a sign of winter being over

Still got to be better than SNOW WATCH???

Had a dusting of snaw last night but gone by morning, and after a dreich day the wind is starting to get going again. Glad I returned last night, would not want to be flying the morrow.

I know exactly what you mean, not looking forward to the M9 to Edinburgh.

Next doors bin's had a bit of a fly around earlier and has just been joined by some building detritus which appears to be attempting the paso doble. Thankfully the roof's not trying to join in yet.

Hope you're ok up in Skye Misty. Stay safe everyone.

Lying in bed listening to the wind outside and it sounds pretty rough here as well. Too lazy/comfortable to get up for a look out the window.
