Few streamers forming up Anglesey way. Let's hope they can pep up and get over those Welsh Mountains..

We have all been here before.. watching that Welch hoover ruin our showers :diablo:

Just dipped below freezing now.

2.4c here and -1.9c dewpoint. Pretty chilly considering I live only a couple of miles from the Severn estuary. Dropping quite rapidly :)

If only those showers were heading up the Bristol channel. Can't remember the last time we had a BC streamer..

Yes! Probably the next best thing for snow here, apart from a stalling front hitting the cold right above us.

Temperature: 3.3°C Dew Point: -0.6°C. Heavy snow showers forecast for nearby hill so the chase is on!

Bizarrely, someone yesterday or today on a thread even suggested the tropical feature 'wasn't a key player'. It's THE key fly in ointment. Pump tropical moisture north via a very rare January hurricane/tropical storm into our wintry latitudes and then just sit and watch the models go beserk. Latest UKMO-GM just one potential outcome of many (albeit looking a very interesting one for the snow lovers, at some point).

you've hit the nail right on the head Ian. Even a novice like me can't understand why some in the model threads can't see the impact of this! :)

Cracking low dew point here! Sadly, the temperature doesn't reflect on how low it is, just the humidity. Nice to get some cold stats on my weather station though- was getting fed up of seeing 12°C day after day..

A light covering in some areas would not surprise me tonight.

Quite nice to have a snow watch night for the first time in a long time!

Yes it's been too long. Might have to join Legritter in a couple of Stellas :drunk-emoji:

Made me giggle the other day when he cracked open the Stellas at midday! ("Only a half for me!!")

It seems to be a problem with the updated Netweather. i get it all the time, as do others.

Annoying isnt it!

I think it's an "autosave" feature. If you start writing a post or quote someone, but end up not posting, it will keep it for you whenever you go to make another.

If you click the quote (where the arrow in my pic is) then press delete, it'll get rid of that particular quote. :)

Showers really getting going now over Pembrokshire moving SSE towards Devon and Somerset, within a few hours I expect some higher areas to have possibly an inch of snow. Hopefully, our lovely East Hill is going to get some!

David braine spotlight suggesting that Sunday and Monday that the Atlantic will nose into the cold producing wintery stuff for the sw. But.....then said it's on a knife edge and would know more tomorrow.

To me, these showers seem to be moving more towards Somerset though we are down for sleet/snow showers by midnight here.
