hmm that ppn seems to be tracking more south now as it fizzles a little?

Looks good for you... Will miss us in Wiltshire more west then expected?

Evening all ,i promised myself i wouldnt look at radar tonight but couldn,t resist it .

showers over wales seem to be breaking up a bit now ,the earlier forecast was for more organised sleet and snow much later in the night so heres hoping ,known snow from these set ups many times over the years but it is frustrating when wales seems to Zap them ,i may have a Half before bed then up early tomorrow for Dentist ,take care all .

Now now people lets have some positivity in here.  We're the SW forum, we don't do down in the snow dumps.

Everyone follow me in a snow dance to the tune of YMCA. :D

I'll follow that. Here's some virtual snow falling for all us snow deprived south westerners:

How sad has it become, enjoying seeing virtual snow falling. The heady days of 2009-2010 seem lifetime ago lol

Devon snow inbound. The line of showers is advancing SE and is red, repeat red ( in areas that were blue earlier). Bread and milk are still available at local shop outlets, save yourselves!......looks like it will be a 45 minute event unless it somehow pivets. Dog's bedtime walk has been put back an hour.

Don't know how accurate the NW radar is but I've just had a quick look and judging by the animation, it needs to pivot a bit as it comes over the severn or it'll head off down over Salisbury. I'm with you NK, reckon there's a strong chance we'll end up in the dry band in the middle.

Anybody see our Fergie's latest tweet looks like the colder weather is going to shunt east more quickly early next week. Suspect that mid atlantic hurricane has scuppered our cold block. Hoping tonight is not our only bite on the snow cherry

Wunderground radar appears to disagree, giving the majority rain with a bit of a mix here and there... Which is more accurate? Who knows!!:unknw:

looks like.... but still unconvincing. 12z UKMO-GM Parallel Suite very different to UKMO-GM Op.... and joins JMA and GEM in slower return to mobility. Equally, MOGREPS is split 50-50. Folk suggesting 'it's all over' are wayyyy too premature. To cite UKMO briefing from an hour ago: " It is highly likely that further marked, and impactful changes in model output will occur in the lead up to the weekend – this probably magnified by ex-Alex being absorbed into the mid-latitudes..."

Any further thoughts on the Precipitation for tonight Ian? i.e is the radr suprising you at all?

Thanks
