I understand folk been disheartened

by this week, but I am surprised there

are no comments on the GFS12z

possibly the most wintry week of

winter next week if verifies

To many let downs probably make folk reluctant to get excited about potential which is always several days away.

crossing fingers won't do any harm though.

Models continue to play around with

the track of next weeks LP systems

and will likely continue to do do into

the weekend,as posted earlier I think

next week could be our wintriest of

the season(won't take much I hear

you say) with snow getting down to

low levels, with the jet taking a hike

on its vacation it certainly won't be

mild so lots of fun and games could

begin

Another wet weekend forecast, oh joy! It will be the 11th consecutive weekend that has been wet.. and the vast majority have been very wet and sunless. What an awful period of weather we are enduring, its extraordinary.

Look north NE and Cumbria showed a weather warning for Cumbria today with another 20mm to 40mm of rain but it would appear the met office have now removed this warning

my wheel of interest is slowly changing the other way now; I'm looking at far distant forecasts for early spring warmth, instead of the non arrival of a cold snap.  Probably a bit early for that,  but the sooner this sorry excuse of a winter is over, the better for me....

....and the depressed doggies out there not getting their usual stimulating walks, because it's more  wet & muddy instead of dry & frosty

Raining and mild tonight and a wet weekend coming up, now where have I heard before.

oh last week, the week before that any probably every weekend since early November.

role on spring although even the lighter mornings and evenings seem to be having second thoughts.

Nice unexpected squall-line passing here currently, I wasn't anticipating the wind and rain picking up that much tonight for the brief time that it has.

It's been raining heavily all evening here but your right about a squall line.

one came through here about an hour ago with the conservatory taking a battering from the sudden strong winds and more intense rain.

It has eased of now though and the radar shoes a distinct back edge crossing the region.

A dry start to the day.

not expecting it to last long but I'm happy to admit that it hadn't actually rained constantly throughout this diabolical extended autumn.

3c so certainly not mild but no doubt the wrong side of marginal for anything even approaching wintry once the expected precipitation arrives.

Raining now and will probably set in for most of the day.  It's the south west taking the brunt for a change, some very heavy stuff showing on the radar.
