Yeah Windy in the early hours and first thing this morning but there has been many a more ferocious depression than this - as mentioned October 2000, Jan 1976 was a beast, several in Feb 90', the burns day storm of 1990, the infamous 1987 hurricane were all more powerful and there are probably a few more on top of this but of the late probably the strongest. Gusted here to 58 mph at 8am but thats not that extreme.

Blimey, it was a tad windy last night wasn't it!?

Kept awake all night by super dupere being blown across the garden, into the windows, gates banging....

Found a random gnome in the garden standing perfectly upright. No idea where he came from, but finding a solitary gnome looking like he had just wandered into the garden staring through the patio door is unnerving, I tell you!

Oh, lucky you. Just a bit of showery rain here, no hail. Looking like some more showers heading this way, so fingers crossed.

We had a heavy rain/hail shower around dinner time, otherwise a fine afternoon with lots of sunshine. More showers to come for the next couple of day though generally turning increasingly dry as the week progresses.

Morning all marvelous start!

All change later as estofex have a level 1 over us for large hail and strong wind gusts

All thanks to an area ofpotentially thundery anf very heavy rain which pushes up from the south West later this afternoon

If we get thunder today here, it would be 3 out of the last 4 days we have had thunder and lightning pretty impressive start to the storm season

Bright start here, yep a band of showers will move through later today with some deep instability so the risk of torrential downpours, hail and thunder as well as gusty winds.

Sunny start here, but some anvils in the distance to my south and west.  Probably a sign of what's to come...

Just down the seafront at Southend, a pretty beefy shower on the other side of the estuary, saw some lightning coming front it too.

Yes Surrey, this year there's been quite a lot of lightning already, am hopeful for a decent summer storm season at last....

Nice enough day here, clear start, hail showers passing by but dry here so far with some sun, still an annoying wind though.

Good luck, south easterners! We're just outside the Level 1 here, but there's still the potential for some torrential rain, hail and thunder here.
