That's solely what my hunch is based on  happy holidays @Nights King LMAO

You can go off a person.. :girl_devil:

On a positive note though the super slug over euro is sending heaps of cold and snow down towards Bulgaria so even if it doesn't snow when I get there I should have something to ski on unlike some years I have been..  I just hope the pattern holds into the second week so I can see it!

Check forecast out currently -  http://www.snow-forecast.com/resorts/Borovets/6day/mid

It looks safe to say I'll see some decent skiing conditions even if I dont see a flake but i really feel something is brewing for the week of 14th...

Crisp clear morning with temp just above freezing. Quite an odd morning really with the lowest temps along the south coast (Bournemouth currently -5C) with Glasgow +7C. A light easterly here.

Morning, -3.4c to start the day, :cold:.  As everything has been so soggy, it's now REALLY icy, looks pretty though. Strange how perspective changes...yesterday I was thinking ooo, what a lovely frosty morning, today and first day back at work I'm thinking, jeeze it's blinking cold. Can't say I'm looking forward to a day spent up ladders, pruning the vast Wisterias. I'm getting too old for this malarkey.

Another crisp one. We certainly have had a fair few frost's this winter so far IMBY even seen a dusting of the white stuff back in November. Yeah I know that's Autumn this has been a normal winter so far, I wonder if we will get some snow in the remaining six weeks. Fog has been quite prevalent as well, this year has a different feel to the previous 2 winters.

Anyway if you are back to normal today I hope it's not too bad for you.

Brr, -5.5C minimum here which just beats -5.4C on the 30th November.

Due to a slight (perhaps katabatic) breeze down the valley the wind chill and apparent temp reached -8.9C and -9.5C. I went out into the fields and it felt pretty cold.

Looks lovely, perfect winter's morning with the sun rising above the frosted trees/roofs

A low of -2.8°C here, quite a way off from the lows of November 30th and December 1st. It was probably the hardest frost of Winter though, my pond fully iced over for the first  time.

Temp: 4.4°C - Hum: 87% - Dew: 2.5°C - Bar: 1030.86hPa - Wind: WSW ~ N @ 3mph.

No they are grass minimum temps Map. Measured by a minimum thermometer placed horizontally about an inch above well cut grass. When you get situations like last night with clear skies and no wind radiation inversions form easily from the ground up in the very low layers, As can  be seen on the Camborne sounding. Thus the grass minimum can be, and often is,  a few degrees lower than the air temp, For example here this morning the min air temp was +0.3C and the GM -5C
