The cloud has been increasing since mid-morning here, looks like it will rain soon and the wind is picking up after being virtually non-existent for the majority of December.

cold spell gone already:rofl:

It is funny on the MOD thread how some folk seem to want to find an end for a cold spell that hasn't even begun. :nonono:

Quite gusty here this pm. The leaves that have been lying around for weeks are finally blowing all over the place!

Nice squall line showing up on the radar, heading SE towards us. What's the bets it'll fizzle out before arriving here!

We will see who is right pennell or the models, pennell thinks they are being optimistic and is expecting a downgrade in the Atlantic block

Over here on the coast tonight some of the gusts were almost enough to knock me down, very unpleasant to walk against, yet warmer than it was this morning.

A bit late posting this but yesterday was very pleasant indeed on this part of the South Coast.

Not a cloud in the sky, nor a breath of wind and the car thermo was showing 13c. I enjoyed a tasty Birthday Brunch sitting outside a cafe on the seafront with a very good friend and all was well with my world for a few hours at least.

It's a bit different today though, overcast and very windy but still quite mild.

Highest gust here today so far has been 48 mph, it's hit that a few times but not gone over as yet.

Dark, windy and wet.

Christmas lights and candles lit, main lights out. Film on telly. Blinds drawn.

Cosy.

The only downside is if the temps had been lower maybe it would of been snow.

Well the squall line has definitely fizzled, but still looking like it might be packing a brief punch as it passes through our region!

Forgive me, as it's not in any way related to our Regional weather, but it's Christmas and I'd like to share this wonderful footage of a panda enjoying the snow at Toronto zoo a couple of days ago. I thought it was absolutely fantastic!! Me and my dogs love snow, but clearly panda's do too!

Feels cooler than it is but that could be last nights alcohol :drunk-emoji:

Only good thing about a mild Christmas day is the heating won't need to be running all day keeping the old folks toasty :D

...Too early for a Sherry?

Good evening fellow regionals - wishing you all a Merry Christmas :)

the weather is going to behave very un-Christmassy but that won't stop the show....
