A very light frost evident here currently 3.3C a little surprising considering we was forecasted a low of 5C I live in quite a central location in London however I seem to be in a cold spot even comparing to the weather stations near here. Misty it is indeed, more like it in terms of seasonality. :)

Is this a private joke? :D

The Only 100mph winds to strike on Christmas Day will be called Brussel (Sprout)

Well do you believe everything you read in the Express lol.
Personally speaking I think you should change your choice of paper lol,,,,

Actually it may be true for 200 milles north west of SCotland.

Even the MO 7 day forcast has reeduced the winds down to 15 to 29 mph gusts xmas morning, as well as not a lot of rain.

I'm almost certain that I can recall the dear, old Express predicting a mini ice-age for early 1975? If so, it may have been the first in a long and illustrious line of the DE's meteorological successes!:santa-emoji:

still cannot believe that I may hit 14c-15c on Christmas Day I would love it if Norfolk could set the Record that has stood for over 100 years, if it did could well be the North Norfolk Coast if the sun comes out long enough.

So it looks like its a cool xmas eve around 6-7c spring like feel xmas day and a cool crisp sunny Boxing day and BH Tuesday. Also only would happen here in the UK that these two days would be Sunny and dry, but never can managed it at easter, may day, spring bh or the summer bh, You just could'nt make this stuff up !!!!

Fantastic output this morning for our new year freeze up!!

GFS brings us a Greeny high and ECM nearly gets there but I'd be happy with what it's showing.

GFS not without support from it's ensemble members either. image.jpg

Like the Captain says...back to the dull gloomy type weather, wind and rain arriving later :(

Next week still looks bright and useful for those with time off and the MO is showing some eye candy for the start of Jan but caution needed at this stage.

Happy Christmas to everyone and new year!!!

Watch what looks like a bit of a squall later on with the front associated with Barbra moving south later on today

I'm off out later today for a few beers and won't be on this side of Christmas.

So to everyone in the cool thread a very merry Christmas I hope you all asked Santa for cold and snowy weather for the new year ;)
