I wouldn't bother. I'll be taking a drive up to Buxton tomorrow morning though.

Sounds cool. I imagine there will be a fair bit up there for you. ❄️

Feels like one of those situations if only everything was a little further South. Well done to those of you who have seen some white stuff so far. Not much happening in Solihull. Almost considered taking a train trip to Matlock (but don’t think would have been allowed being in Tier 3)

i can confirm that as I live in Matlock it is snowing heavy again, and  the surrounding hills are white over with some depth now.

big flakes size of the old 50 pence piece, haha, i would imagine some of the ungritted roads will be quite tricky, I was out in Hartington, Biggin, Elton earlier and it was full on winter

Wasn't expecting this much snow driving near Barlborough and Clowne, Derbyshire at 11.30am this morning. It got a lot worse for the hour after these pictures were took

Just shows you how much a bit of elevation makes all the difference! I'm just outside Uttoxeter, so half an hour away from the Peak District and nothing but cold rain here, really bleak and horrible weather to be honest. Just seen a pic from my friend in West Yorkshire and it looks like they have had plenty as well

Some of the heavier precipitation has finally arrived. We've gone from light rain to slightly heavier rain. Exciting!

Blimey, that doesn't give us here in Birmingham any hope then!

As the feature wraps around tonight, there is a chance of further snowfall across the region as dew points start to fall away. Won't amount to much even if it did settle, but may provide a few flakes for the snow-starved (me!).

Nothing but rain in Shrewsbury and Oswestry and everywhere between. Nothing but rain yesterday too, 20 hours of it non-stop.

Not enough elevation? Or too much, seeing as they got lying snow in the Fens this morning?

Getting heavier now and starting to settle. Not looking forward to the school run down all the windy back lanes!

I couldn’t think of anything better, I’d set off an hour earlier admiring the wintry scenes you have.....so so jealous

Just seen this photo from Melton police on their facebook saying the A607 is now impassable with lorries and cars stuck. Meanwhile 20 miles up the road in Leicester we have rain
