Leasowe Station is going to be under water too, as it often is. North Wirral plain is a complete write off Im guessing. I wonder how Biddy Tesco is doing too

Yeah always bad by B&Q, I'm sure the path toward Tesco & the M53 is a write off. I wonder how high the Birkett is getting too (by the golf course) , I've noticed that getting higher & higher over the years, won't be long before that breaks onto the slip road one day.

Looking at the radar, we'll be lucky to avoid a major flooding incident. Even here, the brook is reaching its most recent highest peak. Looks like it will sail past that.

No reports of flooding around much if the Lake District despite incessant heavy rain. Can only think due to river levels being not especially high..

As for tonight I'm non the wiser whether we will see snow, not sure where the fronts are positioning themselves.. nowcast.

Need temps to start dropping more markedly still on 4.8 degrees.

Yup rain all the way here too. Did turn a bit sleety this afternoon but back to rain again now. Wirral people can only hope

Fingers crossed Nick, still a whole second half of Winter to go. The weekend looks colder with possible sleet & snow showers, the hope will not die until mid-march.

yep, ive noticed too the train tracks by the bridges just before you get to Wallasey Village are constantly flooded nowadays, even when it's not especially wet... it's like Merseyrail will have to cancel Liverpool-New Brighton trains I'm guessing.

Look at the radar over Greater Manchester. Crikey that is horrific.

It's just exploded in intensity over that area and looks as if it will continue to do so.. right where we don't need it!

Pip was right. The wettest, large snow flakes mixed in the rain now.

Sure is...bouncing it down.  Still in the mild sector here, but a few degrees less than the max. of  9c recorded today.

Horrific. I knew as soon as I looked at the radar an hr or so back that energy was transferring over the region- hence my comments about a major incident.
