Not much happening here in Washington to be fair. I'm right on the eastern edge near the A19 so bang on the red zone but maybe it's not going to be too bad here.

Hi all

left house about 4.30pm  waiting for bus for a night out, 1st snow of winter was falling (should of put my coat on)  snowed most of next few hours bloody freezing between pubs, got Uber back home after Indians and it seemed milder not much wind, was not expecting the bonus snow earlier,

Temp gone up as modified buy the sea as wind moves toward NNE.   Rain here now.

But...behind the occluded front is colder air...I expect snow at all areas later.

Winds....  the occluded front heralds the wind....  Down the E cost could see some winds not seen for 15 years or more.

Personally I would love to witness the immense waves bashing the coast..  might set out early in the morning....

I was thinking the same thing.
unless it’s due to get worse through the night.
For one I don’t mind them being wrong on the winds though, nothing worse!

Eye of the storm finally passed through which was bit warmer than the proceeding edge. If the southern arm was the entree then could be interesting

Eye of the storm was always going to be the warmer sector, let the games begin

The eye of the storm was always going to warm things up and calm things & almost bang on time. Now for the real stuff

Winds starting to pick up and the radar looks wintry, our best chance for snow sticking I think is Saturday night into Sunday morning away from the near coast.  The strongest of the winds incoming!

Hope it ramps up a bit it's just a minor breeze here and I'm right on the west of the red zone lol

It's an evolving situation.  We had the cold, snow and strong winds earlier.   As the LP sinks south east We will get a compression of air flow caused by a strong jet stream to the NW.  Its going to drag in colder air...  not sure what will happen but there is the potential for an epic event...

opened the back door - the wind is actually making like a roaring noise,  chucking it down with rain/hail garage - roof leaking

Snow has started here again, and wind has increased.

Looking at the radar that does not surprise me!

Occluded font heading in now which signals the change in wind direction and a draw of colder air behind.....  what's going to happen???
