still snowing here, big fluffy flakes, which is starting to stick a bit

Had a number of showers of sleet, hail etc , quieter now but I expect some heavy showers through the night, falling on cold ground we may just get a covering by morning - good luck up in the toon for more

looks like the NE Coverage of the UK rainfall radar hasn't been working for a few hours now,

I saw a brief coating of snow on Neil Bradshaw's webcam at South Shields 10-20 minutes ago, it's gone now, but it's close to getting cold enough for lying snow right near the coast now.

Haha not quite will be weird going to the Riverside with Boro supporting friends and seeing Wilder managing them.

Was gutting how it ended but that is how it is.

Talking of Thundersnow I heard it was total chaos with 10cm + In many parts closer to 20cm around Buxton as per usual with drifting in the wind and Thundersnow there.

Hadn't seen Thundersnow in years  then see it twice in a day, last time I saw it before that was several years ago when  driving through the Peaks now that was an experience 60mph winds total whiteout conditions Thunder and lightning it was very scary to say the least especially when it became hard to tell where the road was.

The next incoming shower looks promising for Newcastle / Sunderland, they seems to grow in intensity upon landfall.  Could get a couple of inches by dawn further south in the region and there is interest tomorrow evening too - excellent start to the season.

Yeah I appreciate what your saying Derbyshire, I just hope he brings as much success for us as he did for you but then Warnock worked wonders for you and could'nt do it for us - though in my opinion he was gone too early.

So, I been out tonight and just walked home in a good 4cm of snow with it still falling quite heavily, winter wonderland in November - but still no Thundersnow Derybshire, all the best.

Some nice gentle snow falling now, bit unexpected but at least it's a normal pace & not millenium falcon type snow.

Snow day count 3

Power outage count 3

Potential for another covering from these showers heading inland at the minute?
