Encouraging looking GFS 6z, for parts of the North.

Starts snowing at 9am on Thursday morning and still going 12 hours later with more snow moving into the South.

Wall to wall sunshine in Dublin today and temp already 3.7 c here, yesterday it rained nearly non stop, awful day of cold rain.  Not optimistic of our snow chances this week but we could be surprised, we had snow lying for a week in December locally

Woke up to a dusting this morning, thawed out a bit and now it's snowing again and back to white. Watching Thursday with interest. Of course I ran out of oil last night 🤣

ICON 12z looks brilliant for Norn Iron. Prime position. You always have to caveat that the lower you are and the nearer the coast, the chance of snow diminishes.

I Never think it’s possible until @mountain shadow starts to be hopeful

It's all gone South I'm afraid. Nothing for Ulster now, but Leinster looking good.

Met Office are a joke.

There is South and there is South though. The has shifted over 150 miles.

Still a small hope the GFS is right.

Morning folks. Surprise we covering this morning.

The snow would appear to be on for Thursday into Friday again but there is so much flip flopping.

Also, Met Office update for the weekend is wintry.

Hard to know what to believe, looks like its gonna be look out the window job to see what's going in. Car reporting -8 this morning, usual caveats apply!

Metoffice warning updated.  Hoping for a snow day 🙂

Significant snow accumulations are possible over hills of northern England (including populated areas of South and West Yorkshire), Northern Ireland and southern Scotland. Here, 10-15 cm is expected quite widely above 100 metres, with a chance that 25-40 cm could fall in some places
