What you reckon MS, you are way more knowledgeable than me in these things!

I think it's 90% certain we'll see the cold air push South on Sunday.

What's still to be resolved is where the Scandi trough sets up as this dictates where any snow will be.

The GFS 0z was pretty dry for us but the ECM a snow fest.

Hopefully we'll know by this time tomorrow.

Had a light shower at 7.30 this morning  left the roads like a bottle. Frost very slow to clear.

Temp maxed out at 1.9c today  and currently  0.5c.  Should  be early  air frost this evening.

Yep, the black ice this morning putting the bins out was lethal, a drizzly rain on the frozen footpath, never known it to be as bad or as hard to spot.  No salt stored, should have just picked some up when I saw it, but as soon as I buy something like that the weather turns.

I made the mistake of using sand/salt mix in my concrete part last year, stupid mistake as it ate the concrete

A chance for some lamp post watching for me tonight, maybe a light dusting. There's been a bit of shower activity all day, nothing sustained mind you and all cold rain!

Quick scan of the MT and posts suggesting a snow fest or damp squib, confused.com much?

Remember the IMBY South East England nature of the MT!

The UKMO and ECM are rock solid on next week, also on the Met Office site, the first snow flake is showing for Carryduff and Pomeroy on the automated forecasts

Hoping we will all see the white stuff next week and bring some of the old gang back online. Course I have a concern that my location will either be too far south for northerly showers or too far north and west for any fronts to make it from the south hitting the cold air and turning to snow 🤣

Latest ECM just finishing up rolling out now, is an absolute cracker. That would be countrywide snow, and some decent amounts in sweet spots up north!

That makes 2 of us!!! 🙂

If this goes as the ECM and UKMO are predicting, the whole island will do well, even the snow starved people in my area! I'd be 70% confident at this stage and only worry is the GFS output. If that keeps up it's a real concern for us snow lovers! Hopefully it all changes tonight at 10pm!!

Hi all, long time just following , but after that ECM decided to finally register,  Hard to put the phone down since this run began!  Mostly on the model tread TBH,  but joined as figure if we even get a half decent cold spell this tread will be on fire .  here's hoping to an Island Snow  day / weekCar Snow GIF
