Damage reported in Cork overnight as heavy, persistent, thundery rain just kept on coming.

Possible tornadic damage. (no mini-tornadoes here please) Nick's forecast identified the risk.

That is one miserable day! I've also moved away from the big smoke 🤣

Been a dreadful Spring.

Not one warm dry day yet here.

Interesting that Met Eireann and Net Weather radar never picked up two moderate showers (enough to soak your clothes while walking in it) over my location 🤔

Edit: Looks like lag, Met Eireann is catching up.

It might be dry for the next few weeks but this still looks underwhelming. The Atlantic high bringing in too much cloud.

I hope we've all been enjoying this glorious spell of weather? Plenty of sparks possible from Friday too...

it has been an extraordinary period of Summer sunshine that's for sure.

And more to come!

Still sunny up here, at least until Sunday I think, then thundery showers 😎

Not a hint of sunshine here today, despite all the forecasts and apps saying otherwise.

I must say folks this has been an extraordinary period of weather. If Ireland was like this consistently in the Summer you'd never be looking a foreign holiday! The upland bog has dried out quite rapidly for this time of year as well so will see how that pans out for the rest of the summer. Otherwise Fantastic

I know apps are bit rubbish really but how can they be so different? BBC app would give me one dry day in next 10. I don’t think so looking at models. UK Metoffice giving Tuesday to Friday next week dry, hot and sunny.

Looking at radar for today, I may get another dry/sunny day as direction of flow of rain/storms is ESE to WNW. Dry and sunny for now….

Clear to see where Ireland had its storms last night.

Crikey, some bad stuff about.

Glorious here in Carryduff with all the storms scudding away to the South West.

Clear blue skies and 23 degrees.

For those of us in the north, this could have serious consequences for our favourite winter pastime.
