Worth mentioning I think that we were near the bullseye in a stream of heavy rain lasting 3 hours on and off yesterday morning starting about this time. 22.2mm of rain from that lot, most of it in two half hour torrents.

Advised my wife it’s going to improve after lunch so we’ll go to Swanage and try to have a bit of beach time.

Face value a low shower risk, sunny spells and 17/18c is fine.

Just looked closer and saw the predicted wind and feels like temperature. She’s not going to be impressed !!

Morning all, some rain overnight/early this morning so RH93%, an overnight low of 12.3°C at: 01:00 has struggled up just over a degree to current  13.5°C

Overcast skies as the band of overnight rain clears eastwards

But at least the sea temperature is warmer than the air temperature, currently 18.5 °C.

My heating came on earlier! It feels colder to me today. Could be just me I do have wet hair from the shower this morning and as its thick and long takes forever to dry. Yes I know hairdriers exist but cba LOL! 17c and not a surprise that it's cloudy!

As has been the case for a while the showers, try thier best but , hardly manage to bust the snowdome, so a shower free day in the local area although I was a mere 2 miles away as the birds fly and picked up a 2minute shower, which didnt manage to reach here.

A peak 17.9°C at: 14:34, kinda pleasant with no rain, hoping for some top up rainfall before the heat returns..

A largely sunny post 2pm period here after a rather grim morning, so could be worse.

This weather really does have an autumn equinox feel about it.

I’m off down there tomorrow until Tuesday !! Not looking great tomorrow, warnings everywhere in the south for thunderstorms.

My judgment from 2 days here is on WSW flows the coastal areas miss the worst of the showers.

Be glad to see the back of it and liking the sunny forecasts.

After last nights rain, the cloud is still present, however the sun is beginning to break through, the beachcam showing the quite low cloud base

Few clouds at a height of 1200 ft
Scattered clouds at a height of 1700 ft

Yeh looks like it was quite localised here.
We do not often get the heaviest rain here
Still since 11am the sun has been out.
Dried up well already, so no harm.
