Squalls don't seem to come with strong winds nowadays, but just had biblical rainfall for about 15 minutes. The driveway is underwater and the gutters have gone home early!

It was even worse than that here. It didn't do anything! 

The wind died, no torrential rain. A few gusts in the low 30's earlier on, and some moderate rain.

Morning All, well that was a good soaking again last night another 22mm top up for the month. Overnight low of 8.1°C at: 07:27 has made it up to 10.0°C with RH87% and a light breeze in from the SW. Some inbound showers in the west from the off

There were some gaps in the squall line. I thought one was going to pass over me but thankfully it at least brought a dramatic burst of rain. 23.2mm from that front here.

Don't know what the rainfall rate was after midnight, but it was enough to wake us all up! Had 37mm of rain overnight and a couple of large gusts.

Well that was embarrassing  posting in the Mod thread when not able to talk weather!! I really did think I was in this board it must be my age.

 

Anyway I put out the recycling wheelie bin last night dressed like a north sea fisherman and the patio had flooded and the rain kept on coming over night, however this morning it had drained away and the commute into the office was chilly but fine with a stiff SW(ish) breeze.

I heard it raining here but seemed standard affair and wasn't THAT windy. Was a bit dut didn't seem out the ordinary - but we are sheltered. Temp only dropped to 10c. Only 10.7mm of rain so nothing much either!

Sun and cloud today which is nice - sitting around 14.8 with a top of 15.2c so far.

Standard Autumn fare. I'm happy enough with it!

I must have been needing sleep because the post midnight battering didn't even make me stir let alone wake up! Another 24mm so a very wet start to October.

Onto today, this area usually fairs well on the ar.se end of deep LOWs and today is the same. Windy, dry, good sunny spells.

Late afternoon sunshine similar to Knockers area medium size Cu, after peaking at 14.4°C at: 14:52 in what has been (and still is) a breezy afternoon, with a passing light shower earlier..

Been a pleasant day today with the sunny spells, 15-16c during the afternoon.
Wind has been blustery at times 12-15mph, plenty of 20-26mph gusts.

That spell of rain from 1am to 5am this morning delivered 24mm here.
