There’s no way I’m getting sucked in yet. Been far too many disappointments over the years

Morning All, after a clear sky last night, it went overcast, and now we have  a misty start to the day, so of course the humidity has climbed back up to 96%, whilst the temperature has wobbled through the night to the current overnight low of 5.6°C at: 07:45..

Overcast again. 7.2°C.

The Christmas period looks quite crap. I would have settled for cold & dry, but it could be wet & windy for many of us. Still a lot to be resolved yet, though.

I must confess that I am being drawn into the "will it/won't it snow at Christmas" thing! My heart wants it to snow, but my head doesn't! Very foggy all day here.

A pleasant day out in the garden, Ok so the mist took a while to clear, and has to be said it really didn't lift that much, certainly nothing blue today, even so working up a sweat was easily possible in these conditions, peaking at 5.7°C...and has been hovering around 5.5°C for most of the afternoon..

A cool overcast day today. Around 7c.

Been in the model thread and absorbing it as I do, year after year, I expect no more than rain or sleet from any precipitation over Christmas. That said, I hope for the best and expect what we normally get. Wet stuff

look at the 1961-1990 average there used to be a time when we got the same amount of snow as others... last 10 years that’s complete not true... endless warm sectors, not the right place... last winter a few flakes here pathetic

Morning All, welcome to High pressure Gloomland, even if it rained that would at least clear through, but this high seems to have dropped anchor!

Meanwhile, a cool night, with a low of 4.7°C at: 07:41, which is where it's at right now, RH82% and a gusting 10mph light breeze in from the East..

Some funny yellow bits in the sky, but in the main...GREY

I've decided to do a little renovation work on my station's setup. I'm waiting on a delivery of some PVC pipe so I can run my temp probes through it and tidy all the cabling up. Estimated delivery time: 4 - 5pm. It'll be dark!
