Evening all 🙂

The first snow in East Ham since the last time.

A good couple of inches based on my dustbin lid measurement so about as unscientific as it gets. One or two children from the carol concert at the nearby church marvelling at the flakes.

It will be interesting to see if this freezes over night or whether the heat island initiates a slow thaw. It did the former in December 2010 but in the suburbs it doesn't usually linger.

Been on the cusp of the heaviest precipitation for what seems like an age . Looks very fine line if it reaches us.

I feel your pain. Have a dusting here but the heavy stuff keeps decaying before reaching us...

Been snowing here in Central London since 7pm. Has been coming down moderate and quite heavy at times! Best snowfall since Feb 2018. This reminds me of the Dec 2017 snowfall 😁😄

Earlier picture from our walk around at Box Hill, absolutely beautiful. Now waiting for the heavy stuff to hit home (Datchet). Fingers crossed!

They are useless on Sunday nights, seen it happen a few times, they probably got 1 junior forecaster in that has adjusted the warning zone slightly but doesn't have authority to issue amber they probably have to phone someone higher up at home.

The earlier update managed to include a county far removed from the Southeast, then they altered the county later..both started with an H i suppose!

I definitely just saw some lightning flash off to the East.

I'd say there is about 4cm here. We're now in a gap on the radar but hoping the next blob will reach us as it moves North West. But to be honest, it's already been better than I expected.

Our pivot point finally got some of the heavy stuff, so at 8.30 went out for a walk. Beautiful out there, just us walking the streets and a few cars slipping. Now we have about 3cm but looks like it's on its way out, unless the pivot point remains the same

Whoever runs Southwark Council, Lambeth Council and Westminster Council didn't fancy gritting any of the pavements recently.   Strangely the TfL roads were done last night, albeit with tiny bits of grit, only the high traffic volume is keeping these roads passable.

Apparently Wandsworth Council gritted the pavements (And that's majority Tory Run?)  Oh dear.

There is a fox having a wander around on this live cam when it pans round near the christmas tree

The view pans from Clitterhouse Playing Fields in the east and across the infrastructure works required to build the new parks, streets and squares.
