Ha ha, brilliant!

Reminds me of a day in December 2017 we had a very heavy frost and I made the little guy below out of what had formed on top of the car. He was about 2 inches tall ⛄️

Been a raw old day here in Locksbottom only about 5 degrees but grey all day.Went to Darwin House in Downe today.Fascinating place and lovely gardens although a bit nippy to be walking around too long.Very nice hot chocolate in tea room though👍well worth the visit if you are in the area.

Cold day here today under the leaden skies. It managed to get to 3.7c this afternoon so a bit cooler than was forecast.

well the countryfile forecast shows precipitation for the east of uk. but it's still cold.  however, with no decent rain for ages, any precipitation will be welcome for this part of the world.

not looking good for getting the sledge out the shed in London though 🙄

It's snowing in Biggin Hill, not a lot, but enough for a very light covering on cars and our shed.

Think Monday night into Tuesday is going to be the best shout for some of us especially in Kent, but even then will probably only be a dusting. Wednesday is just so unpredictable at the moment and anything after that is even worse!!! Although GFS and ECM haven’t given up on south of London and Hampshire etc getting hit Wednesday so we can cling on to that!!  it does look like rain for most of the SE Thursday onwards BUT the lows are slipping south inch by inch on some model runs! We need it to be about 150 more miles south though 😂 but there is always a chance 😂 If the cold can dig in a little bit more than being shown from Monday night onwards we could be in with a chance but it’s not looking likely. But there is still time importantly 😊

Personally Im not expecting to see anything other than a lot of greyness and rain this week.

Hope im wrong but its not looking great tbh.

All the action is 200-400 miles to the north

1c less cold, shouldn't they just say 1c more, that would only be 5c here mind, if the ment less, 3c is pretty cold concidering I'm in the SE near the coast, and this is a northwesterly at the minute.

Do you happen to know what the colours in the top one mean. It's using three different ones, hoping one of the is not freezing rain, can do without that nonsense.

No wonder it was cold today, even with some flurries, -8C 850 mb temps across SE this evening on 18z EC run

The 18z overnight gfs run is a thing of Beauty if it's cold and snow you're after!! Low after low is shown undercut and pulling in those cold air uppers!! Brrr!! Winters sting is sharp!!

Colder than forecast here this morning at -0.8c with a dew point of -2.1c and the sun is rising in clear skies.

Saw the precip is heading into Norfolk with snow on its eastern edge so the lower 850’s must have hung on there
