Morning all, rain has now transitioned to snow and coming down quite steadily here just north of the South downs. Around a centimeter of lying snow on cars and roof's and just trying to settle on the pavement and back roads.

Woke up at 3am and looked out and it was raining with a bit of sleet and went back to sleep.Just woken up and it’s a winter wonderland out there everything covered, temperature -0.2 and snowing heavily.Looks like we have maybe another 2 hours and then that’s it.That’s the good news. The bad news is that the forecast for later this afternoon is now rain and sleet 🤦🏼‍♂️Last night when I went to bed at 11 it was for heavy snow from 5-10pm this evening. It’s so marginal!!Better go out this morning for a walk and enjoy it before it all melts.Looks like the midlands and NW England and Mid north wales will get pelted Thursday now whilst we in SE get good old fashioned rain!!You win some lose some🤣!!

Wet snow here in Raynes Park.  Has settled on grass and a few other surfaces.  No covering on road and pavements around here.  The high ground should do well out of this.

Just on the right side of the margin: 0.7, DP -0.9 so a good covering - I'd guess about half an inch.

Watching on the security camera from the warmth & comfort of my bed - only awake because the cat jumped on me to wake me up for a drink (must teach her how to turn on the Bath tap for herself) now I can’t get back to sleep! ⛄

Wet sleet here in Eastdene, large sleet flakes , as the saying goes the larger the flakes the warmer the air is, so they melt before touchdown. We need a nice warm sunny day to follow.

Big fat flakes here the past hour in NE Surrey, piling up nicely, have to get the ruler out later, but must be a few inches now.

Well this has been disappointing. Woke up expecting the sky to be that weird orange colour you get at night. Nope. As predicted, nothing here just outside Colchester.

Wasn’t expecting snow, got up and looked out and we have big 50p sized snow flakes and snow covered cars.

It's all watery😱

it blooming well is. Any flakes are plummeting rather than falling. I'm glad to see those outside of the capital getting something.

Yeah, it's nice to zone out watching the wet flakes coming down, but it would have been nice to get at least a wee covering.
