In Cheyenne, Wyoming over xmas, the temperature dropped from 6c to -16c in 30mins!

I have an inkling it could gave been a cold front ..there  is us  trying to get a a flake or two to settle and some that are sick to the back teeth with it ,today in Orpington we had light rain then moderate sleet ,soaked and freezing but snow was still off the cards like someone was throwing slush puppies at you ,cheyenne is further south in latitude than me in Tonbridge..but 3000 odd miles of relatively warm water which as its a mostly west  to east  regime  scuppers us most of the time 😞

Aye Alexis, I'll always remember doing cross-country running in March 1970... It was so cold in Tunbridge Wells that our willies nearly fell off! 😁

That was back so far it might as  well been in the mini ice age ..there is people walking about in Bermuda shorts at moment ...gorgeous..pressure is  rising here  faster than the interest rates 🙂

Plus this is un technical version of what we here have to put up with ..

First off la nina... cor its going change this year ,most of the world it effects from a lot to a little ..fair enough ,Eastern Pacific will lose its high ,all change, ,we by the way and getting worse have the most stubborn weather pattern generally than any part of the world and by reports of droughts lack of rain fall etc in Europe...our old friend ..used to be the bemuda azores high ..no ..no more its the euro- azores high it doesn't matter what the altlantic temperature  does unlike the Pacific its like s**t to a  blanket

Expansion of the “Azores high” – a high pressure system in the north Atlantic – is driving “unprecedented” changes in western...

Rain here too as I thought as too warm. The metoffice radar was saying sleet and hail with the odd bit of snow which got me to ask the question.

Very Frosty start but not too bad a day weather wise, I ventured into the vale of Aylesbury this morning in an electric loan car, neither experience will I be in a hurry to repeat - it was nice to see some signs of spring and it’s noticeably lighter at the end of the day now which is good 😊

The “toy car” did thankfully have heated seats (just not as comfortable as mine), I went to put something in the boot and there was an extension type charging lead with a 3 pin wall plug in there, thankfully it came fully charged so not needed.

Well at least it looks mild for the foreseeable, we need the rain showers so can’t complain about them but next Wednesday better be dry I’m going on an alpaca trek !

I see the usual Drought headlines popping up again after a nice dry period. Don't worry fellas, it will rain, as it quite often does in this country, although here in the South East we seem to be doing ok.

Rivers are allowed to fluctuate.
