It's been a very cloudy morning and lunchtime here in Surbiton, with only very rare appearances by the sun. We're in the 60% risk zone for the storms but it really doesn't feel that way at the moment. Hopefully some sun will come out this afternoon to get it all primed.

It's just chilly cloudy and breezy here, doesn't feel stormy what so ever.

Plenty of energy here, may be to much, as soon as the sun shows a shower starts building, we've had several downpours, but no storms, cause they just build enough to fill a gap.

Lovely thunder here...little bit of rain (not enough to get the cat in lol)......waiting for some lightening.  Thought it might be more dramatic, but it's more gradual.  Hopefully it will last longer 😊

There's a very active cell just to the west of Salisbury right now.

...and a few seconds later, another bubbles up over Winchester!

What a terrific radar image.... and we haven't yet got to the 'peak' time expected for activity this afternoon/evening.

I don't think I've ever had constant rolling thunder for over an hour in May, EVER!

I mean, two thunder days already in 2023, what's going on?!?!?

So far avoiding the action. Dry here today, distant cb anvils well inland. Low stratus has blown in obscuring the rest of the sky; If I am right I would have thought that it is lifted sea fog.

A few flashes and rumbling, but little rain thus far.  Radar looks threatening to the west of here.

Had a good storm  here just after 3:30pm. Thunder, lightning and torrential rain. Several roads flooded badly on the way home from work. Still raining on and off with rumbles around.

It's been warm and has felt muggy enough for storms. Lovely moody skies, I can see there is some action close by. I'm willing it over here.

I suppose we should enjoy this weather before we hit 45 degrees this summer and become hotter than the Sahara Desert and be rainless for 3 months.

Hasn't stopped here in herts since 3pm and more behind it. London Sussex looks free from it but more coming along

It won't get that hot again this is probably from the heat rising from Spain in recent weeks

As soon as that mist rolled in it went from feeling like april/may, to looking and feeling like mid Feb, lights on and heating on for half hour!

I don't think I've ever had a Round 2 before! Still, there's a first time for everything!
