Was expecting a bit more rain today.
Not really had anything that registered since 2nd March.
So far its been a few drizzly showers here mostly around 8:30am, total 0.8mm.
Looks like its all currently missing us.

Now 9.8c, ESE 10mph wind, 1000.6 hPa

You are off to the one side, as we've had 7.8mm and it's still chuckin it down, but that's good..

Had enough rain now, time for some warm spring sunshine and a nice settled week. Hope it’s not too long away.

The difference is today, it's that slow persistent rain, that doesn't just run off, it seeps in to the ground slowly, so great for the plants..but still going strong at 10.4mm so far.

So with 11.2 mm (0.44 in.) at 14:12 captured today, time to get out in between the rain, and tie down the tree fern, having just transplanted it, it's roots might not cope with the breeze over the weekend...rope time.

Anybody got any tips on translating a tree fern, to ensure it survives, should I feed it, rather rely on the rain ?

A thoroughly wet day in all but something of a clearance now with some blue sky appearing.

Cleared down here, and some late afternoon sunshine, however showers brewing in the channel (for later in to the early evening).

Saw some sun for half hour. Raining again now

Even YODA is struggling to find sun and warmth, but the gulls are enjoying digging the worms out…

18.8mm of rain today, and showers have now arrived.

I cleaned the windows today, and then wiped them down with Rain-X. Hopefully, it'll keep them cleaner for longer.

As I said yesterday, we obviously missed all the rain, as only 4.5mm that fell yesterday.
The radars had us on the edge, so looked to be right.
Had a brief few showers early this morning, giving 1.8mm.
Nice and bright now, lots of bright sunshine, 10°C, 1009.1 hPa

In three or more decades since I've lived in my current house have never really made any effort to clean the glass on the windows.
Save wiping off some bird muck on those rare occasions or when clearing things like gutters and some muck drips over.
They seem to just stay clean naturally and I assume helped with a rain shower.
The outside of the greenhouse, being those top angled roof panels do tend to pick up some of that red dust we get maybe a few times a year, that a quick hose down removes or the next clean rainwater shower.
Not ever noticed the outside of the rest of the greenhouse really gets dirty.
The inside of the greenhouse with the green gunge from the cucumbers and tomatoes over the year does though and of course your splashing the soil and stuff up the glass during watering.

Well you are lucky living where you do as one of the main issues we have is the salt in the air from the sea, as you must do

How far away from the sea are you? How many beds is your house? How much was it? I'm thinking of moving your way ...
