Storm Dudley has arrived in Glasgow and it’s pretty wild. Some of these gusts are pretty mean and being in an exposed tenement I can feel the building shake in the stronger ones. A fair few trees and the likes will not be surviving this one.

Winds have really picked up over the past 30 minutes. It was howling all last night then calmed this morning.. now it’s really ramping up!

an interesting 48 hours of weather to come for sure.

Storm Dudders arrived in the NWest Eng. Everything but the kitchen sink being thrown down at the moment... the sink will come on Friday.

Absolutely tipping it down here for the last hour, strong gusty wind as well, going to be a wild evening,

Just had a gust that made the windows creak, and my ears pop - so it's starting to rock 'n roll out there. Strongest winds look further south than I was expecting - more West Wales than up here.

Its getting reasonably wild here (Bradford). A nearby weather station recorded gusts over 58mph. Some heavy rain, and currently sustained wind speeds over 40mph.

Hardly any wind here just a gentle breeze from a variable direction. Chucking down here though. So the strong winds arrived early this morning in two brief bursts but did reach 57mph. However the winds maybe coming back literally just started.

Windier down here than i thought it would be, from Dudley.

2 fence panels down; some of next door's cladding just hit side of our house.

Could really be doing with an official weather station in the North Lanarkshire area. According to my nearest station peak gusts were 62 mph, the only problem being that station is 15 miles away and 180m higher... realistic peak gusts have been around 50 mph.

Same here in Cardiff wild here driving dodging wheelie bin flying around just to think its going to be worse come Friday if its as bad as its showing

Yes very gusty here in Barry, a lot of small branches about already and bits blowing around. Wasn't expecting this for today from Dudley.

Pretty wild this evening, just crazy to think it'll be far worse on Friday.

Winds dropped then picked up again here too, still at the lower end of the forecast severity and not worth more than a yellow warning in my opinion.

Heavy rain mid afternoon, then cleared, wind picked up markedly after 5pm, at the moment very windy but dry, nothing to alarming so far!

Winds only recently really strengthening here but see Tay bridge already closed to all but cars and single deck buses meaning that over 60mph was recorded at around 6.30pm. Didn't even notice anything at all then in my relatively sheltered street but can hear a bit of a roar now and doors and windows rattling.
