Hey All

I'm by my daytime swimming lake near Cirencester sat under a marquee. No lightning yet here - quite cool se cool so just hoping there's enough mid level juice and this trough does it's thing over me.

I'm heading towards Seaford/Eastbourne way now, birling gap is usually a good spot or beachy head/holywell retreat near Eastbourne.

CB cloud tops about 38000ft over the channel at the moment, based on pilot reports.

I've resigned my self to the fact that we'll probably miss out tonight. Guess we'll find out as the night goes on. For all we know, our storm hasn't even developed yet.

Don't know if I will have any more thunder tonight. Incidentally, today was my first day of thunder since 4th October last year.

Hi dude, any chance you can get a link to whatever site shows the cloud top information? (I’m guessing it’s for aviation only). Always wanted to find a source that gives live info on that.

cheers!

This is some lightning show! Very muffled almost constant thunder in the last 10 minutes as it’s passing closer to the West.

Can see plenty of lightning from my top floor flat towards Beachy Head...that cell is producing many bright yellow tinged forks...also wonderfully moonlit clouds...great view

There's no link, just based on pilot reports on the radio at the moment.
