I didn't spot anything last night or this morning, cloud has been an absolute pain for me this season when I've had chance to watch.  Anyway in SE sky saw the moon among cloud and Jupiter to its left.  Better than nothing.  Pic taken about 3am, they will be closer together tomorrow morning.

Well I'm up sat in the garden with the dogs for a few more hours yet, (got to water the cabbage/potatoes and eat my tea so we will see. Lots of bats flying around currently and the stars are showing above ☺️

We've got to wait as always, much further north latitude for them... Full clear dark sky's above here, just about to water the potatoes now the water pressure is up.. then tea in the garden 😁

Latest Aim finally released (3 day out)

As expected at this time of the season, the core looks like it is beginning  to disintegrate

But we are in unusual time`s, so I`m not counting anything out🙂

Latest Aim .. 2 day out for yesterday where there was a low, bright 2nd half display showing on the euro cams, but alas was clouded out IMBY🙄

🤞It appears finally, that there maybe a break in the overnight cloud🤞

The latest daisy`s still bulky enough to give a low display

current_daisy23.thumb.png.0936195c24060eeef39ed76f200ae3bb.png

For me a final rare opportunity to catch a noctilucent display, in conjunction with a laser display😃

Pretty much at season's end now, the end of NLC season marks the start of the wane of high summer to me.

Completely agree. Much as i love NLCs a faint low display isnt something worth stopping up for. I guess the chances of a decent "higher" display have all but gone now. The nights are noticably drawing in.... my lilies/jasmine are nearly over and the swifts will be leaving soon..

Slipping inevitably into my least favoured season... dead summer/autumn...

This mornings 30 min display, just after 03.00

9032.thumb.JPG.d68c3c9c5ed394a431689565bf849cd7.JPG

Nothing spectacular ( what it could have been if they had turned the bloody lasers on this morning🙄)

anyway no cigar

latest aim (3 day out) still hanging on in there and throwing out some lower latitude `arms`

now if that arm at 7pm was at midnight 2 days ago, we might be on to something!

but knowing our luck, it would be cloudy here..

Three more days and it starts getting properly dark here again and for the first year I can remember I've gone the whole season without seeing any noctilucent clouds!

It has just been relentlessly cloudy whenever an opportunity has arisen here. Its been totally pants for using the telescope too, that has been gathering dust aswell. Hopefully the Autumn is better for that at least!
