There seems to be a patch of them showing directly to the North!

Got a rather redneck setup for timelapsing. D3400 doesn't have a proper shutter release port so here I am, laptop seems to zap me whilst I'm trying to control it whilst it's plugged in. It might be a ticking time bomb.

That's an unusual way to keep you awake, coffee/tea is safer perhaps.

I don't know if it's just me, but I can't see the video, you must have been in a prime spot with your view to the north.

I'm gutted to miss what looked to be a cracking event, judging by all the posts going around on social media

Hopefully forecasting gets better in the future, as I would probably set the alarm, hopefully that is not the last decent showing of the season

Well the daisy`s are fuller than anyone expected.

3 day out daisy looks good, local weather forecast doesn't  ..  but they are still out there

They've been mentioning the noctilucent cloud displays on Jo Wiley's show tonight, and the news updates, so maybe some new enthusiasts will be born!

Webcam Flensburg / Blick nach Norden

Nothing on this cam yet.

Should get some more clear nights during the next week/10 days.

Just an observation; The structure and the brightness of the NLC`s which show up on the Flensburg cam, are what we can expect to see over our skies.

This happened earlier this week with the bright wavy display first picked up by the Flensburg cam, showed up as the bright wavy display over us, a couple of hours later.

The same occurred this morning.

A faint, singular patch of NLC`s showed up on the Flensburg cam, sure enough come the morning twilight glow,

the same faint patch of NLC`s showed to us.

So: If they are bright on Flensburg cam we can expect them to be bright over us .. and of course visa versa.

This observation could be made on whether to set the alarm clock, or not

Nothing spectacular this morning, but to my tired eyes this time lapse looks like a caribou running though the tundra
