...FRANKLIN FORECAST TO RAPIDLY INTENSIFY INTO A MAJOR HURRICANE...

...INTERESTS IN BERMUDA SHOULD MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF FRANKLIN...

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 100 mph (155 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional strengthening is forecast, and Franklin could become a major hurricane later today or tonight.

Started in 2022, and says "2022 and on". So could be going for years...

I'm a misery and prefer an annual change x

This morning's view of major hurricane Franklin at 115 mph, 956 mb (top right) but likely stronger now, and Idalia at 65mph, 989mb (Bottom.)

Franklin looks beautiful classic formation. A fish spinner thankfully and should remain one.

Absolute nuke of a convective/hot tower on Franklin earlier today.

Quite a lot of systems packed into a small area, but most look to be weakening now. Jose looks to be short-lived, and yellow disturbance unlikely to do much as well.

So Franklin is going to have lunch and eat Jose tomorrow.

Wonderful picture from a meteorological prospecive.

You can see Franklin undergoing extra-tropical transition and how Idiala has caught the same weakness and is being dragged along. You can also see that Jose and Gery are being sheared apart by the gyre.

It's completely unknown where this could go, slight uptick on several models puts the Carrib and Bermuda in the firing line, but so many other alternatives. Sea heat and various troughs and pressure zones making this very hard to call.
