Absolutely astonished. The new storm hit us with very heavy rain, and after the heavy rain passed, tons of close, clear bolts.

Just had some epic rain fall nr Bridlington, East Yorkshire, thunder rumbling away, more to come judging by the radar

Brief hail and thunderstorm passed through here, several bolts within a couple of miles and some lovely rumbles.

The cells in the North east have merged by the looks of this.  Constant thunder all around me.

Frequent thunder 15 minutes ago  but the storm moved on very quickly.

Unbelievable this storm like. Best one in years by far.

I can't believe it's still dry here. There's cells everywhere but none have hit us. There was a single rumble of thunder from a cell to the west about half an hour ago but that's it.

Apart from the wind it's quite a warm and sunny day. A high of 21.7C so far.

It was.  Genuinely still going with constant booming thunder and lightning.  🌩 ️   Amazing storm this compared to the dross of the last few years.

Literally constant rumbles from another storm to my south west. Caught a few bolts as well so that was a nice treat. I'll sort through them and share later.

Still the most exciting day of summer so far.

it is quite literally....a banger !

mahoosive booms of thunder, plenty of lightning and now the scud has moved away offshore, i'm getting some lovely lightning bolts from the anvil....lots of video footage to go through today, i even got local and gave it a big "Wae'aye man!" for the more photogenic lightning

Some thunder near by from looking at the radar but looks fairly weak as it approaches

Nothing here, storms missed us to the West and East and left us with nothing but a single rumble and moderate shower, some beautiful cloud scapes though, will post some later.
