The temperature had a more comfortable climb down here, it didn't hit as hard as I thought it would. Down south it looks like it's gone from summer-type weather straight into autumn-type weather in the space of a day, that must be a real shock to the system.

19.2mm of rain here over the past 24 hours so far, good for the spring tulips and bluebell bulbs I planted and the first decent amount of rain we’ve had in a couple weeks, 4 weeks if we’re talking anything near an inch so can’t complain though the sunny skies next week will be welcome.  It’s feeling mild but I can almost feel the back ground of the chill coming, at least next week looks overall sunny, perfect cardigan weather

You've been quiet lately ...

I started a new job as a nursing assistant so been working 3 long shifts a week and can’t use phone on the ward, it was easier when I was sat behind a reception desk by myself 🙂 I’ve still been posting though but been relaxing more from the information overload when not at work, will make up for it if there’s interesting weather ha

How are you feeling?

Hopefully the frosty weather stays at bay until November seeing as daytime max’s for October in southern England are 15-17c.

im just relieved I’m going into winter with £450 credit I’ve managed to build up on my energy account so can hopefully breath a little. Hopefully others will be ok too and it’s a little less expensive than last year

I can imagine bless you… You’ll be tippy top afterwards, onwards and upwards.

I really feel for all those people waiting for ops, this was all so avoidable x

I'm very fortunately going to continue getting a taste of Summer next week as I have to travel to LA for a work trip. Currently looking very nice indeed for the days I'm out there:

Cracking day today with exceptional visibility and able to sit out in shorts etc.  I feel sincerely sorry for our southern friends with all they have to put up with.  Don’t think I could possibly return, and not sure how they tolerate the appalling climate.

Lashing it down.

Rain hitting back of the gaff, indicating a Northerly direction. Temp has plunged from 18c, a couple of hours ago, to 12c.

Yep temperature plummeting and defining back edge to that front signaling a potent change of airmass!

Hehehe yea I can't wait. I just can't breathe and have polyps in both nostrils now. It's so uncomfortable. On antibiotics for a sinus infection right now after that really heavy cold I had 2 weeks back. Just want it sorted before the Christmas rush now! I've been waiting since September 2022.

Incredible sunset tonight from the cold front clearance, been a long time since I've had one of these around here.

30.7mm today, second wetttest day of the year after 18th September.
