Told you all with my forecast, the southern storm will be the strongest. Given best inflow and less restricted moisture and low-level vorticity. Absolutely not surprised that a Supercell happened. Not much here but cool looking skies.

Will upload pictures later.

I’ll be a bit miffed if this is the area that’s supposed to produce, all the energy is south east.

Its definitely building up in South Yorkshire, you can feel it in the air.

The wind has definitely picked up on the Wash storm now, almost like someone has turned on a hairdryer next to the camera.

Same old story for us SB, we never get good thunderstorms here.

I was hoping for an MCS instead of one single supercell. It’s almost like these supercells suck the energy from everywhere else so no other storms can develop.

We've got some wild spits or rain on the sussex coast.

Shame really, because we've got the humidity, we've got some heat, we've even got the thundery skies.

We're just missing the two crucial ingredients: thunder and lightning

Nice little diversion around the storm.

While we're at it, that line across the North Pennines looks fearsome too.

Yet seemingly all the clag didn't  have an impact on the storms over the far N of England or Peterborough.

The Peterborough storm had its origins across the river from me, then gained momentum as it moved North. It seemed to develop from nothing as we were under le clag Francais. Just goes to show strong insolation isn't always necessary

As soon as I post it's looking tricky some embedded cells develop towards Bradford and Lincoln.

Good old reverse psychology.

Distant thunder heard here with increasingly gloomy skies

I bloody hope so. Good storms last night so this would be a nice extra if something else were to develop

Looking north from here towards Derby - some half decent towers appearing.

Seems to be a cell firing off on the A15 north of Lincoln. Thats popped up off the side of that big storm further south.

Yep feeling and seeing it becoming more humid here and in th direct firing line this round!

Wonder how much they might intensify by the time they get here. Quite often seem to die off over the moors on the way..
