Love how the storms kick off as soon as the flow turns to the NE… sigh.

Enjoy everyone.

If someones reporting lightning from a storm 100 miles away the cloud tops must be pretty high?

Both that and cloud bases being elevated too.

Lightning has suddenly gone nuts - a few rumbles but I’m seeing IC lightning flashes every 1-2 seconds 🤷‍♂️

Happened with a storm to my east near Birchington just before midnight, 10 minutes of near constant lightning before it went kaput again

Now I am being greedy, but is there any chance of another round or two throughout Monday?

I'm signing off for some sleep. It's been a good evening in Reigate, and my storm drought has been well and truly broken! I did try some video but it was absolute crud. Sorry about that. Enjoy, everyone!

Dont think were going to get a direct hit sadly, the storms seem to be moving too far North East unless more cells fire up

Some more from him as the storm dissapates before it hits me. Knew that was probably going to happen. Just typical.

Looking like we'll be missing the action here, unless a miracle breeze blows these thorms our way. 🧐

I would keep a lookout, the flow has changed and storms are heading more northerly now, am watching these new cells currently, pretty sure they will get to us it just depends how electrically active they are

Lets hope theres still some cape about ⛈️
