About 2-3 hours until the back-end north westerly winds sweeps back through Cornwall, I know a weather enthuasist based in Penzance (@Official_WXUK on twitter), and another around St Ives so hopefully get some good footage in the coming hours. Not sure if i will stay up tonight or head to bed, i'll see.

Did u expect it to be this far south. I’m guessing that means that France will get the worst of it. From what I’ve seen, they’ve had over 110mph recorded

Eerily silent in the eye now. Especially since the barometer is so low it's practically headed for "very dry". Was really bad in Plymouth. The wind was bad but the rain, and flooding everywhere, never seen anything like it. Can't wait for the eye to pass, that's when the real fun starts here. Do I sleep, or stay up? 🤔

Got a video on twitter as well damage looks serious. And i've just realised they have still got the actual storm itself to come so not sure how TORRO investigators will be able to assess the damage there.

Any idea of the author of the video?

Holy Heck, that's a fair sized Tornado for the British Isles if I ever saw one 😲 hopefully no injuries or worse reported.

Man, wind just gusted and took out  my virgin for a few mins, don't quite know how that works, its underground, perhaps it pushed the cable going up the house a bit or something.

I actually didn't think a tornado could form on island as small as Jersey

Clearly a tornado!

Radar 100% supports that’s idea!
