Morning. Lovely bright start, 8.5°C, bit of cloud about.  Mainly dry day regionwide, Lake District and I O Man maybe a bit damp.  A fine usable day for many, enjoy.      Rostherne max yesterday was a cool 13.9°C.

Better start to the day, not wall to wall sunshine but at least the big orange thing in the sky is showing itself occasionally and crucially it’s dry.

Yesterdays day out in Manchester never materialised but the birthday presents are still needed so it looks like some local town centre is going to end up with my presence later, hopefully with a few beers in my local afterwards to celebrate no work Monday.

Before any of that though it’s time to blow the cobwebs off with a short, swift walk.

Cloudy and dead calm and with  thick pollen haze.   Shower splatter on radar well north of us as yet.  Another sunny day like last Thurs would be very welcome.

Grey again and any chance of a boil off is nil with the incoming weather system chasing in 😟B/H weekend rating 1 out of 10

A bit of a slow start but it’s turned into a lovely day now with plenty of warm sunshine although it looks like the showers which have developed over the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales are aligned perfectly to spoil things across this part of the region in the next couple of hours.

hopefully they will fizzle out as quickly as they appeared and not spoil the one decent looking day over the BHW.

things were a bit cloudier earlier when up the top of the road where east meets west.

East Lancashire becomes West Yorkshire here and where all water running to the left ends up in the Calder and the North Sea with that to the right draining into the Irwell and the Irish Sea.

The watershed and county/regional boundary continues south towards Reaps Moss with its turbines and onwards where to where Lancashire ends and Greater Manchester starts.

Definitely the borderlands and only a couple of miles walk from home.

Wow, what a difference 24 hours makes. Sunny and, dare I say it, warm here in S Cheshire. Mrs FLT and I are attending a 90th birthday party this afternoon and, fingers crossed, this lovely weather will continue and not be interrupted with showers.

A max temperature of 17.5'c (so far) today near Buxton and it's turning out to be better than what this morning's MWIS forecast was predicting, a bit more cloud has developed since midday but it's still pleasantly mild when the sun makes a re-appearance. Just been for a short stroll around Whaley Moor and the local Bluebell Woodlands to make the best of it and to test out a new Canon EF-M lens for the M50ii.

Lovely here this pm.  Really warm in the sun, fairweather cumulus about.  Some parts of the ground still a bit boggy.  Out walking towards Prestbury along the river Bollin.

Wow, perfect walking conditions, I'm still out walking.  Some great convective clouds and crepuscular rays, can feel a bit of a dip in temp now.

Left a damp dank Windermere this morning and greeted by a dry sunny Southport at lunchtime. Returning to Windermere this evening greeted by high level cloud and dry ground.

Tomorrow will be a case of radar watching and seeing sudden shower clouds spring up out of nowhere.

A lovely day all the way through and so warm compared with a few days ago. Would like to think that tomorrow could produce more of the same, but Chris F is warning of heavy and potentially thundery downpours anywhere in the Region, particularly during the afternoon and evening. Hoping I won't get wet going to Crewe v Doncaster in the L2 playoff semi-final.

Morning to All.

Sun and milky blue skies, yay.

Off for a walk around Etherow Country Park mid morning so that the forecasted heavy  showers miss us.

Managed first bbq yesterday.

Morning all.  Under a cloud inversion here, tis a bit foggy, but it's lovely and clear up the road on the Cat.  Very still and calm, grey and 10.5°C.

Glad some of you have managed a BBQ, lovely to see lots of folks sat outside enjoying a drink or two in Prestbury yesterday.  Automatic app on phone has showers here by 10am. 🤔☔

A Face like Thunder Thanks for the heads up. It’s on SKY I’ll be watching. Been mid 80’s  since been to Gresty Road. Might be a possibility the way we are carrying on.

Deceptively clear skies here in Whaley this morning although the forecast is for a few thundery showers from midday onwards to 6pm, the heaviest crossing the spine of the Pennines but almost anywhere could crop a storm or two today.

A bright morning and feeling quite warm. I have a feeling though that we are not going to stay dry all day today, unlike yesterday, but not a bad Bank Holiday weekend here on the whole.

There's going to be a large dead zone today which will probably be west of the Irwell Valley south to Crewe and north on that longitude into Cumbria. East of that looks very good but probably a very well-defined boundary. Suppose something could survive as far west as the M6 corridor given that steering flow is to the South-West though very light.
