Cloud didn't lift until 9.15.  Had sun for only an hour.  Clouded over now with some convection visible to my SE.  A pleasant 15.6°C currently.

pip22 I think we'll be too far west JUST unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong.

17.5c was sunny ☀️ convective cloud over Pennines has spread overhead… warm humid feel… even if we don’t have storms should be some  pretty cloudscapes about later 🤞⚡☔🌈☀️

Out walking the dog, and it's very warm in the sun. Stood on one of the highest points in the village I can see cloud building to the east along the Pennines both north and south. Where I'm stood, and to the west it's pretty clear. Looks like it'll be pot luck with the showers, but if anyone gets one, it'll be a slow moving soaker.

Marsh finally drying out after what seems like a decade.
Overcast here on the Fens. Humid. Sun trying it’s best.

Very pleasant out here, until you try to do any jobs, then you realise how humid it is! Sun was out earlier, now it's just bright.

It's not been too bad a weekend here, Saturday was dry after early dampness, but was certainly chilly sat in the wind with no sun. Much brighter and warmer yesterday with plenty of sunshine. Started sunny today, but the sunshine turned hazy and now quite cloudy. Looks like I'll be too far West here for any decent convective activity.

severe snowstorm I'd put you just a few miles west of the boundary

Lovely morning with plenty of warm sunshine and I made the most of it doing some tidying up in the garden.

still sunny now but with plenty of threatening clouds and it’s gone very humid so fully expecting the afternoon to be a case of dodging the showers.

maybe some TS activity, we certainly look to be in a prime location up here but personally I’d have preferred a dry afternoon and evening to enjoy the rare beast of something summery.

iand61 you're close to the boundary just to the east of it I expect. Later should see clear to your west/south and storms to east/north and probably overhead later.

Early showery rain, dry since mid morning albeit overcast though cloud us high. Whether we see any thundery downpours remains to be seen, lots of activity N Cumbria and Pennines.

A warm week ahead, mid week looking finest, with sunny spells, may turn wet by the weekend. 3 fine days and a thunderstorm..

Just back from a quick 5 mile round trip into town, and although it's dry here, there was moderate rain in Rochdale. A very localised shower that doesn't seem to have moved much in the past 45 mins.

My radio is picking up some sferics now, must be the strikes in the N. Pennines.

Rush2019 right place, right time and thankfully there is a lay-by just there at the summit.

I pointed it out to my missus and said I was stopping to take a picture but the unsurprising response was a short but to the point “why”

Only just realised risk of  thunder today on seeing BBC NW TV forecast.  Does seem a bit warm, calm and oppressive. Cloudy too unlike yesterday afternoon which became sunny with a liitle breeze from the north.   Current;y a pea souper of tree pollen.  Been outside for half an hour and soon became sneezy and eye watering.  But no rain as yet.
