Because of a drop of tempretures in the afternoon showers could break out afternoon /evening ,then need to radar watch light snow showers anywhere south east Wales favoured  spot.

We need a slight south east element to the wind for here Keith to bring the showers off the Bristol Channel but could happen I’ve seen it before.

I'd say for swansea very small chance and anything that falls will be a light flurry, all depends on wind direction, and how much cloud cover we are actually going to get. Most likely to see something further east of the beacons. Nothing worth getting excited over thats for sure

The upper wind does have that slight south east element to it which may explain some of the pepping up off showers over the Bristol Channel

latest from the icon 21z, again just mainly light snow or flurries like Marcus says above so no disruption expected but better than nothing if it happens!

It's definitely a rollercoaster in the crazy thread ! Why can't people just enjoy the current cold weather ? Surely the saying get the cold in first ?

Cold and dry has to be better than the lashing rain of the last month ?

Nice little upgrade it’s becoming a quickly evolving situation where the Bristol Channel will pep up the showers this evening and move inland by the looks of it, nothing significant but should be nice to see nevertheless ❄️

Developing more of easterly  winds picking showers are building in East Anglia.

Looks like a more organised band developing there let’s hope it remains intense when it gets here

Looking forward to the cold and prospects.

Did a long walk in the forecast sun on Saturday from Llanelli to Pembrey and back.

Laughed at the "spot" forecast with the big sun symbol during the 3-4 really heavy showers!

I find it a bit weird for the warning to run out at 3 o'clock in the morning. Surely, even small amounts of snow/ice won't start melting before 9 am?!? Do the MetO assume the wind to be strong enough to dry roads out so quickly or blow any flurries to the verges in the first place?🤔🤔🤔

Not worried too much here @Strumble Head. Bitterly cold easterly to 16km/h actual temp 1 degree wind chill - 4. Ice forming well on puddles. ❄️

No Andymusic....can't be that bad yet then!

Winds veering slightly now more east south east and with the coldest pool of air just coming towards us and the Bristol Channel being about 2 degrees warmer than the North Sea we *could* see some convection of our own move inland in south wales 🤞❄️

Had some snow grains as I left work in Llantrisant. Here it Barry its 3C with a dp og -2.3C, be nice for the temp to drop a bit before any precip arrives but thicker clouds now coming over, so hopefully see a bit of light snowfall somepoint thisevening!

Fingers crossed the Bristol channel can pep up any precipitation.

Several hrs of light snow should have reached Cardiff now.

Notice on the Radar that the precip seems to have pepped up a bit as its going over the channel?

Some grains blowing about in Rhayader. Ground still frozen from last night, so anything that falls will settle.

Nothing in Cardiff at the moment but a bit early yet for what models are showing. Encouraged by the precipitation actually intensifying in places as it moves west. Hoping the channel will help intensify too like others have said. Not expecting much but we've gone many winters in the past without a flake sometimes!
